Paréntesis — Kleta
2023 · Kleta
A campaign about the state of flow for Kleta, a bike subscription service in Barcelona.
Barcelona is in the middle of a transformation into a bike-friendly city: bike commuting keeps growing, cycle lanes have multiplied and the superblocks are giving streets back to people. Kleta, a bike subscription service with more than 2,900 active users, answers the three fears that keep people off a bike: the cost of buying one, theft and feeling unsafe on the road.
Paréntesis looks at riding as a pause. When we move by bike, the body repeats the same action over and over; that constant movement is the state of flow itself, where the rational mind steps aside and decisions come from intuition.
Developed as a master’s project at Elisava, Barcelona: an editorial piece, photography and two films made with Martin König, Flow and Serendipia.
